With the fast pace of commerce, you need to be connected to your company and your contacts everywhere you go. As a part of their built-in software suites, smartphones can automatically download contact information from cloud-based services like Google's Gmail, along with email. On an Android phone, all you need to do is sync your phone to the Google account that holds the contacts. On an iOS phone, you just need to set up a Microsoft Exchange sync account that connects to the Google Gmail account that holds your contact information file.
IOS Device
2.Tap 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' from the Settings app's left pane.
3.Touch the 'Add Account' option in the right pane and select 'Microsoft Exchange' from the list of account types.
4.Enter the full email address for the Gmail account with your contacts in the Email field.
5.Fill your Gmail username and password into the Username and Password fields, respectively. You can leave the Domain field blank.
6.Click the 'Next' button in the upper right corner of the window. Wait for the application to finish verifying your account information.
7.Enter 'm.google.com' into the Server field when the Exchange window reappears.
8.Turn the switch to the right of Contacts to on. You can also set up your iOS device to sync your mail and calendar data by setting their switches to on as well. When you're done, tap 'Save'
9.Press the home button to exit the Settings app. Your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad will automatically sync your contacts from Gmail to the Contacts app in the background.
Android Device
How To Download Gmail Contacts On Iphone 6s Plus
1.Open your Android device's Settings app. It's typically a grey-and-green gear and is located on your main apps page.
3.Click the 'Add account' button in the lower right corner of the screen.
4.Tap 'Google' from the list of account types and click the 'Next' button on the screen that comes up.
5.Click the 'Sign In' button under the caption saying 'Already have a Google Account?'
6.Enter your username and password in the appropriate fields and then click the 'Sign In' button in the lower right corner of the screen.
7.Wait for your Android device to communicate with your account.
8.Touch the check box to the right of 'Sync contacts' to turn on the check mark and activate contact synchronization. You can also sync Gmail messages, Picasa Web albums and calendar entries by clicking their boxes as well.
9.Press your phone's home button, and the phone syncs your contacts in the background.
